Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

1) God

God exists as The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit (Mat 3:16-17) but He is one God. He is self-existent. He is holy (Isa 40:25). He is love (1 Jn 4:7-10). He is the Creator (Gen 1:1). He is omni-potent and self-sufficient.

2) Christ

Jesus Christ is the only Begotten Son of God (1 Jn 5:5). He is fully human and fully God (1 Jn 4:1-2). He conceived by the Holy Spirit (Mat 1:18) and was born of a virgin (Lk. 1:34). He came to show who God is (Jn 1:14,18). His mission is to take away the sin of the world (Jn 1:29).

3) The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God. He lives in a born again believer (Jn 3:1-8). He unites the body of Christ (Eph 4:3-6). He gives us power to become witnesses of Christ (Acts 1:8). He reproves the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment (Jn 16:8). He will never leave or forsake us (Heb 13:5).

4) The Bible

The Bible is inspired by God (2 Tim 3:16-17). It was written by man who was moved by the Holy Spirit (1 Pet 1:21). It is only our rule for faith and practice. It is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. It consists of old testament (OT) and new testament (NT). The OT is the record of the origin of everything including mankind, how he fell into sin, and how God initiates the redemption process by proclaiming the coming of Jesus Christ. The NT is the record of the first coming of Jesus Christ on this earth to redeem mankind from sin and predicts His second coming in the future.

5) The Church

The church is the gathering of all Christian or the body of Christ. The purpose of the church is to teach the Bible, to have fellowship among believers, to remember what Jesus has done, to pray together and to spread the gospel (Acts 2:42). Local church is an important spiritual life for any believer (Heb 10:24-25).

6) Sin

Sin is willingly disobeying the commandment of God. All mankind have sinned (Rom 3:23). The consequences of sin is death — spiritually, mentally, emotionally, relationally and physically (Rom 6:23).

7) Salvation

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus only (Jn 14:6; Eph 2:8-9). Because of sin everyone is by default condemned to death. No one have life unless he is born again by the Spirit of God (Jn 3:1-21). Jesus Christ died on the cross and gave His blood to take away our sin (Heb 9:22). Jesus died to be the substitute for the whole world (1 Jn 2:2).

8) The Second Coming of Christ, Future Resurrection and Judgment

There will be the second coming of Christ (Acts 1:11). There will be future resurrection of the body of all people (1 Cor 15:35-54). There will be future judgment upon the world, the believer to heaven, the unbeliever to hell (Rev 6-18). Jesus Christ is the Judge of everyone (Jn 5:22).

9) Satan

Satan is an angel who has sinned against God. Because of his sin, God permanently removed Satan from his exalted position and role from heaven to earth. (Ez 28:12-15; Isa 14:12-15). Satan is a liar, tempter, deceiver, and the accuser of the brethren. Satan’s future is in hell for sure.

10) Spiritual Gifts

The Spiritual Gifts are God’s grace for every believer. They are enabled by the Holy Spirit. Example of these are: gift of prophesying, gift of ministering, gift of teaching, gift of exhorting, gift of giving, gift of ruling and gift of showing mercy (Rom 12:6-8).

How to be saved from the death penalty of your sin?

Read Psalms 51:1-5. What does sin mean?

Read Romans 3:23. According to this verse, how many have sinned?

Read Romans 6:23. What is the consequences of sin?

Read John 3:16 and Romans 10:9. What happen when a man believe in Jesus?

Read Ephesians 2:8-9. Nothing you can do to be saved from your sin, but that God has offered it to you for free only by believing in Jesus.

Now I have done this very same thing too, so I know that this is true. Jesus has saved my life and given me a brand new life. He gave me a new Spirit and the Bible call me to be born again in the inside. If you do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you could receive eternal life from Him right now. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ . Amen.

Be thankful to God that He has given you eternal life, for what He has done for you, and for who He is. Start reading your Bible beginning with the gospel of John. Don’t forget after receiving Jesus into your heart, that you need to attend a Bible believing local church near you. The church has to believe in the Word of God (the Bible) and in the God of the Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. You will find that your life journey will get better and better every day with your relationship with Jesus and the church.
